THE ROLE

As an Experienced Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Technician, you will be responsible for restoring damaged alloy wheels to an exceptional standard, ensuring every finished product meets customer expectations and manufacturer-quality standards. Working within a busy automotive workshop, you'll use specialist repair techniques and equipment to repair cosmetic and structural wheel damage while maintaining high levels of productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair kerb damage, corrosion, scratches, and cosmetic defects on alloy wheels
  • Prepare alloy wheels through sanding, filling, masking, and surface preparation
  • Carry out diamond cut, painted, powder-coated, or polished wheel refurbishments where applicable
  • Mix and apply primers, paints, and lacquer finishes to achieve a factory-quality finish
  • Inspect completed work to ensure every wheel meets company quality standards
  • Work closely with workshop colleagues to ensure efficient turnaround times and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain specialist equipment, spray areas, and workspaces in a clean and safe condition
  • Follow all manufacturer procedures along with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced, quality-focused Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Technician who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and consistently producing outstanding finishes.

  • Previous experience as an Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Technician within an automotive workshop or accident repair environment
  • Strong knowledge of alloy wheel repair, refurbishment, preparation, and refinishing techniques
  • Experience using specialist wheel refurbishment equipment and tools
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes
  • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment while meeting productivity targets
  • Good understanding of paint preparation, spraying, and finishing processes
  • Positive attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
