The Role

As an MET Technician, you'll be responsible for removing, repairing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components to ensure vehicles are returned to customers in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components on a variety of vehicles.
  • Diagnosing and identifying damaged parts requiring repair or replacement.
  • Carrying out vehicle strip and rebuild work to manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensuring all safety systems, including ADAS and electrical components, are correctly reinstalled where applicable.
  • Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians throughout the repair process.
  • Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Reporting any additional damage identified during repairs.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

About You

You'll be an experienced and motivated MET Technician with excellent technical knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality vehicle repairs.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician / Strip & Fit Technician.
  • Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge within a Bodyshop environment.
  • Experience stripping and refitting a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to producing repairs to manufacturer standards.
  • A full UK driving licence.
