The predicted salary is between 35000 - 40000 £ per year.

Basic Salary: £38,000 depending on experience. OTE: £42,000+. Location: Peterborough. Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm | 1 in 4 Saturday Mornings Paid at 1.5x Overtime Rate.

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join their busy and successful workshop in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, enjoys diagnostics and complex repairs, and is looking to develop their career within a professional dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose and rectify complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
  • Perform advanced repairs including cambelt replacements, timing chain work, clutch and flywheel replacements, engine repairs and major mechanical overhauls
  • Conduct diagnostic investigations using manufacturer and aftermarket diagnostic equipment
  • Carry out suspension, steering, braking and drivetrain repairs
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and right first time
  • Accurately complete job cards, service records and warranty documentation
  • Carry out road tests and quality control checks following repairs
  • Maintain high levels of workshop productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer, warranty and health & safety standards

Skills & Qualifications

  • MUST HOLD an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Senior Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Own tools and toolbox
  • Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available)

Desirable

  • MOT Tester Licence
  • Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair & Replacement
  • Previous Main Dealer experience
  • Experience working with modern diagnostic equipment
