Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Technician with an MOT Tester qualification looking for a long-term opportunity with a well-established dealership group? The role involves maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to a high standard, while ensuring vehicles are inspected and prepared safely and efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Completing MOT tests to DVSA standards
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
- Conducting vehicle health checks
- Carrying out road tests where required
- Identifying additional work and communicating findings clearly
- Completing repair orders accurately, including fault cause and rectification
- Working efficiently to agreed timescales and productivity targets
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and minimising repeat repairs
- Following manufacturer and company procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment
- Looking after customer vehicles while they are in your care
ABOUT YOU
- Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent automotive qualification
- Current MOT Tester qualification
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
- A good understanding of vehicle servicing and repair
- A full UK driving licence
- High standards of workmanship
- A proactive approach and good attention to detail
- The ability to work efficiently as part of a busy workshop team
Franchise/dealership experience would be advantageous, although ongoing manufacturer training is available.
