THE ROLE
As a Mobile MET Technician, you'll provide mechanical, electrical, and trim support across multiple Bodyshop sites in and around the Manchester area, helping teams maintain efficient repair workflows and high-quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Travelling between designated Bodyshop sites to provide MET and strip-fit support where required.
- Carrying out mechanical, electrical, and trim removal and refitting on accident-damaged vehicles.
- Removing and replacing damaged components in preparation for Panel and Paint repairs.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues associated with vehicle accident damage.
- Reassembling vehicles correctly following structural and body repairs.
- Carrying out functional and safety checks to ensure components and systems operate correctly.
- Working with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, VDAs, and Workshop Controllers across different sites.
- Maintaining the company van, tools, equipment, and working areas to a professional standard.
ABOUT YOU
This role would suit an experienced Floating MET Technician / Mobile MET Technician / MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician / Vehicle Technician who is comfortable working across multiple locations.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician within a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
- Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, electrical & trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA).
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and vehicle trim knowledge.
- Experience with vehicle strip-down, component replacement, and refitting.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
- The ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different workshop environments.
- A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel between multiple sites.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
