THE ROLE
As a Panel Beater / Panel Technician, you'll be responsible for repairing accident-damaged vehicles to a consistently high standard, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with required repair methods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing damaged vehicle panels and determining the appropriate repair methods.
- Carrying out structural and non-structural body repairs to accident-damaged vehicles.
- Repairing, replacing, aligning, and fitting vehicle body panels and components.
- Using specialist body repair tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Working to manufacturer repair methods and relevant industry standards.
- Working closely with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians, and other Bodyshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
- Completing allocated repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent workmanship.
- Inspecting completed repairs to ensure panels are correctly aligned and meet the required quality standards.
ABOUT YOU
This opportunity would suit an experienced Panel Beater / Panel Technician / Vehicle Body Repair Technician / Car Body Repairer who takes pride in producing high-quality repairs. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Panel Beater or Panel Technician within a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
- Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Body Repair (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with ongoing commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle body construction and accident repair techniques.
- Experience carrying out both structural and non-structural body repairs.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.
- Strong organisation and the ability to work effectively as part of a skilled workshop team.
- A full UK driving licence.
