The Role
As an Experienced Multi-Skilled Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing accident-damaged vehicles to the highest manufacturer and industry standards. This is a varied role for a technician who can confidently undertake both structural and cosmetic repairs while working efficiently as part of a busy accident repair team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out high-quality panel repairs, replacements, alignment, and vehicle reconstruction.
- Complete structural and cosmetic accident damage repairs using manufacturer-approved repair methods.
- Carry out dent removal, reshaping, filling, preparation, welding, and bonding.
- Undertake chassis and frame alignment and structural repairs where required.
- Work closely with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians, Estimators, and Workshop Controllers to ensure efficient vehicle throughput.
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications and first-time quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment in line with Health & Safety requirements.
- Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining exceptional workmanship and productivity.
About You
We're looking for an experienced and versatile Multi-Skilled Panel Beater who can hit the ground running within a busy accident repair centre and take pride in producing first-class repairs. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Panel Beater / Panel Technician within an automotive accident repair centre or busy bodyshop.
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques and manufacturer repair procedures.
- Experience with structural repairs, panel replacement, welding, bonding, dent removal, and chassis alignment.
- A recognised apprenticeship or significant time-served experience.
- ATA, IMI, NVQ, VCQ, or equivalent qualification advantageous but not essential for an experienced candidate.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to first-time quality.
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high standards.
- Strong team player with a positive, professional attitude.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
