The Role
As a Panel Beater, you'll play a key role in restoring damaged vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards, ensuring high-quality repairs are completed efficiently and safely.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out panel repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Removing and replacing damaged body panels and components
- Repairing dents, creases, and structural damage using appropriate techniques
- Aligning and fitting replacement panels to manufacturer specifications
- Working closely with Paint Technicians and other workshop colleagues
- Ensuring all repairs meet quality and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Completing work within agreed time-scales while maintaining excellent workmanship
About You
- Previous experience as a Panel Beater, Panel Technician, Body Repair Technician or Vehicle Body Repairer
- Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Body Repair (NVQ/IMI/SVQ/ATA), with ongoing commitment to continuous professional development
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle repair methods and techniques
- Experience working within a busy accident repair centre or Bodyshop environment
- Ability to carry out both cosmetic and structural repairs
- Skilled in using Bodyshop equipment and repair tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
