The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and technical repairs
  • Diagnosing faults using appropriate measuring and diagnostic equipment
  • Interpreting manufacturer technical data and repair instructions
  • Removing and installing vehicle components using manufacturer procedures
  • Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work
  • Preparing new and Approved Used vehicles
  • Accurately completing job cards, including repairs, parts, labour and hours worked
  • Reporting additional faults and delays to the Workshop Controller or Service Manager
  • Ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards
  • Maintaining excellent vehicle care and workshop standards

About You

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic with strong technical ability and a commitment to quality. You'll ideally have:

  • Relevant automotive qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or workshop
  • Strong servicing, maintenance and repair experience
  • Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A professional approach to health and safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence
