The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and technical repairs
- Diagnosing faults using appropriate measuring and diagnostic equipment
- Interpreting manufacturer technical data and repair instructions
- Removing and installing vehicle components using manufacturer procedures
- Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work
- Preparing new and Approved Used vehicles
- Accurately completing job cards, including repairs, parts, labour and hours worked
- Reporting additional faults and delays to the Workshop Controller or Service Manager
- Ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards
- Maintaining excellent vehicle care and workshop standards
About You
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic with strong technical ability and a commitment to quality. You'll ideally have:
- Relevant automotive qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or workshop
- Strong servicing, maintenance and repair experience
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Excellent attention to detail
- A professional approach to health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
