The Role
As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you’ll play a vital role in returning accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards by carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs as part of the repair process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults identified during the repair process.
- Carrying out repairs safely and efficiently to manufacturer specifications.
- Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and Workshop Controllers to ensure repairs are completed on schedule.
- Completing all work to high quality and safety standards.
- Identifying any additional damage and reporting findings where necessary.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Accurately recording completed work in line with company procedures.
About You
This opportunity would suit an experienced MET Technician / MET Fitter / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician who enjoys producing quality work and thrives in a busy Bodyshop environment. You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician, MET Fitter or similar Bodyshop repair role.
- Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
- The ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.
- Experience working within an accident repair or Bodyshop environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
