The Role
As an MET Technician, you'll play a key role in the repair process, ensuring vehicles are dismantled, repaired and reassembled to manufacturer and industry standards while working closely with the wider Bodyshop team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim removal and refit work on a wide range of vehicles.
- Diagnose and replace damaged mechanical and electrical components.
- Remove and reinstall interior and exterior vehicle trim safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.
- Work closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and Vehicle Damage Assessors to achieve efficient vehicle turnaround times.
- Identify any additional damage during the repair process and communicate findings promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and workshop processes.
About You
We're looking for an experienced MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician within a busy accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
- Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and vehicle trim knowledge.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- A commitment to producing high-quality repairs first time.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
