THE ROLE

As a Smart Repair Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality cosmetic repairs to vehicle bodywork, ensuring completed work meets professional repair and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out SMART repairs to minor bodywork damage, scratches, scuffs, dents, and cosmetic defects.
  • Preparing damaged areas for repair using appropriate sanding, filling, masking, and refinishing techniques.
  • Carrying out localised paint repairs and colour matching to achieve a seamless finish.
  • Repairing alloy wheel damage and other suitable cosmetic vehicle defects where required.
  • Inspecting completed repairs and rectifying imperfections to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Working efficiently to complete allocated repairs within agreed timescales.
  • Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, and other Bodyshop colleagues to support an efficient repair process.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and the working area in a clean, safe, and professional condition.

ABOUT YOU

This opportunity would suit an experienced Smart Repair Technician who takes pride in producing high-quality results. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience carrying out SMART or cosmetic vehicle repairs within a Bodyshop, accident repair centre, dealership, or similar automotive environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of minor bodywork repairs, paint preparation, colour matching, and localised refinishing.
  • Experience repairing scratches, scuffs, dents, and other cosmetic vehicle damage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • The ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
  • A professional approach to health and safety and the correct use of repair products and equipment.
  • A full UK driving licence.
