The Role
As a PDI Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring new and used vehicles are prepared to the required safety, quality and presentation standards before being handed over to customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on vehicles
- Completing vehicle health checks and inspections
- Checking mechanical and electrical systems
- Identifying and rectifying faults before vehicle handover
- Carrying out minor mechanical repairs where required
- Checking vehicle levels, tyres, lights and safety systems
- Ensuring vehicles meet manufacturer and company standards
- Completing inspection paperwork accurately
- Preparing vehicles to a high standard for customer delivery
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
About You
We're looking for a qualified and reliable PDI Technician / Vehicle Technician who takes pride in their workmanship and has strong attention to detail.
You’ll ideally have:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Previous experience within a PDI, dealership or automotive workshop environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and practical repair skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A professional and reliable approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Full set of own tools
