HGV Technician Job Details
- Basic Salary: £41,200
- Working Hours:
- Week 1 - Monday-Friday - 07:00-16:00
- Week 2 - Monday-Thursday - 07:00-16:00 & Friday - 07:00-12:00
- Week 3 - Monday-Friday - 07:00-16:00 + Saturday Morning 09:00-12:00

For the HGV Mechanic role you will need to have prior HGV Technician experience working within a dealership or fleet maintenance environment.
Responsibilities of an HGV Technician:
- Routine vehicle maintenance to DVSA standards.
- Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspection.
- Diagnosing of vehicles diagnostic equipment.
- Good housekeeping and H&S requirements.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed.
- Assist the VMU Co-ordinator / FLM to liaise with the Transport and Logistics departments about vehicle availability.
Skills and Qualifications of an HGV Mechanic:
- Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
- HGV licence is an advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience gained in HGV fleet maintenance operations (desirable)
