The Role
As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out complex repairs and maintaining vehicles to a high standard, with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding
- Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs
- Working independently to identify faults and determine appropriate repairs
- Working on both cars and commercial vehicles
- Using diagnostic equipment and technical information effectively
- Completing repairs accurately and efficiently
- Ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards
- Maintaining accurate job records and paperwork
- Supporting the wider workshop team where required
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician with strong technical ability and confidence working independently. You’ll ideally have:
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Strong previous automotive industry experience
- Manufacturer training or extensive hands-on experience
- Experience working on commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience carrying out complex mechanical and electrical repairs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Own tools
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Professional, reliable and team-focused approach
