LCV Technician To inspect, diagnose, repair, service, and maintain light goods vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes to ensure they remain roadworthy, reliable, safe, and compliant with all relevant UK legislation and manufacturer specifications. The mechanic will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship Vehicle Inspection and Diagnostics ·Carry out routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on light goods vehicles. ·Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic faults using specialist diagnostic equipment. ·Identify wear, defects, and safety-critical issues. ·Perform road tests before and after repairs where appropriate. Repairs and Maintenance ·Service vehicles in accordance with manufacturer schedules. ·Repair or replace faulty components including: oEngines oGearboxes oClutches oBraking systems oSteering systems oSuspension components oExhaust systems oCooling systems oFuel systems oTiming belts/chains oWheel bearings oDriveshafts oBatteries and charging systems oLighting systems Electrical and Electronic Systems ·Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical faults. ·Repair wiring, sensors, ECUs, alternators, starter motors, and lighting circuits. ·Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic software to reset service indicators and calibrate vehicle systems.
