The Role
As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out the mechanical, electrical and trim aspects of vehicle repairs, ensuring every vehicle is restored safely and to the highest manufacturer and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs where required.
- Working alongside Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to ensure efficient vehicle repair.
- Completing repairs in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed.
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised and compliant with health and safety procedures.
- Contributing to an efficient and productive team environment.
About You
We're looking for a skilled and motivated MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working within a busy Bodyshop environment.
You should have:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician, Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician, Strip Fitter or Vehicle Dismantler.
- Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Experience working within an accident repair or Bodyshop environment.
- A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Good communication and teamworking skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
