The Role

As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out the mechanical, electrical and trim aspects of vehicle repairs, ensuring every vehicle is restored safely and to the highest manufacturer and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs where required.
  • Working alongside Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to ensure efficient vehicle repair.
  • Completing repairs in line with manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed.
  • Keeping the workshop clean, organised and compliant with health and safety procedures.
  • Contributing to an efficient and productive team environment.

About You

We're looking for a skilled and motivated MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working within a busy Bodyshop environment.

You should have:

  • Previous experience as an MET Technician, Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician, Strip Fitter or Vehicle Dismantler.
  • Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working within an accident repair or Bodyshop environment.
  • A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality.
  • Good communication and teamworking skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
