THE ROLE
As an Experienced Panel Technician, you will be responsible for repairing accident-damaged vehicles to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer repair methods. You'll work as part of a skilled bodyshop team, carrying out structural and cosmetic panel repairs while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship, productivity and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and repair damaged vehicle panels using appropriate repair techniques
- Carry out panel replacement, alignment and structural repairs where required
- Undertake dent removal, welding and panel straightening to a high standard
- Use specialist bodyshop equipment and repair tools safely and effectively
- Work closely with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians and Workshop Controllers
- Ensure all repairs are completed within agreed production times
- Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet required quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment in line with Health & Safety requirements
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Panel Technician with a strong background within automotive accident repair.
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater / Panel Technician within an accident repair bodyshop
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and accident damage repair techniques
- Experience with panel replacement, straightening, welding and alignment
- Ability to work accurately to manufacturer repair methods and specifications
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment
- Good understanding of modern vehicle construction and repair techniques
- Conscientious, reliable and professionally presented
- Strong team player with a positive and professional attitude
- IMI / ATA qualifications advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
