Hours: Monday to Friday 40hrs per week + 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Service Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop. This role will focus primarily on carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on a range of HGVs, helping to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and kept safely on the road.
The Role:
- Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance on HGVs
- Complete vehicle safety checks and inspections
- Carry out basic maintenance and identify any defects
- Report any additional repair work required
- Complete job cards and service documentation accurately
- Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company and manufacturer standards
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles for 5 years +
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent preferred
- Experience carrying out servicing and routine maintenance
- A good understanding of vehicle safety and inspection standards
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A reliable and organised approach to work
