The Role

As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you'll play a key role in the repair process by safely removing, repairing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components to manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components on a wide range of vehicles.
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults associated with accident damage.
  • Carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Ensuring all vehicle systems are correctly reassembled, tested and fully operational.
  • Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and Vehicle Damage Assessors to ensure an efficient repair process.
  • Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship, quality and productivity.
  • Following all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
  • Completing repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

About You

We're looking for an experienced MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician within a Bodyshop or accident repair centre.
  • Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Understanding of ADAS components and the importance of correct calibration processes.
  • Experience removing and refitting vehicle trim, body panels and associated components.
  • The ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent quality standards.
  • A positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
