Your responsibilities will include: ·Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and multipoint checks on new and used vehicles. ·Completing routine servicing and preventative maintenance. ·Identifying and carrying out mechanical repairs where required. ·Inspecting vehicle interiors and exteriors, identifying damage, defects and any outstanding work. ·Fitting approved vehicle accessories. ·Reporting defects and ensuring vehicles meet the required preparation standards. ·Completing all relevant paperwork and vehicle preparation documentation. ·Carrying out road tests where necessary. ·Working efficiently to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery within agreed timescales. ABOUT YOU To be considered for this Vehicle Preparation Technician position, you should have: ·Previous experience in a Vehicle Preparation Technician, PDI Technician, Vehicle Technician or similar automotive workshop role. ·A Level 2 or 3 NVQ qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair ·Good mechanical knowledge and practical repair skills. ·A full UK driving licence, as road testing may be required. ·A strong eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work. ·The ability to work independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
