We're recruiting on behalf of an established and growing business for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their team. This is a varied field-based role involving servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs across a range of heavy plant and commercial equipment.

The Role

  • Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy plant.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
  • Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs on-site.
  • Work on engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems.
  • Carry out fault-finding using diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Work independently across regional sites.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment to a high standard.

About You

  • Previous experience working on heavy plant machinery.
  • HGV trailer experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Good electrical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
  • Previous mobile / field-based engineering experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification preferred, although strong relevant experience will be considered.
