We're recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy workshop in Dagenham, maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles. The Role:
- Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and electronic faults
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections
- Perform welding, fabrication and metalwork when required
- Order parts and assist with stores management
- Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records
- Support Apprentice Technicians and work collaboratively within the workshop
- Maintain workshop equipment to a high standard
What We're Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Diagnostic qualifications desirable
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
