THE ROLE
As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you'll be responsible for removing, repairing, and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
- Strip and rebuild vehicles following manufacturer repair methods.
- Diagnose faults identified during the repair process.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and industry quality standards.
- Work closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, and Vehicle Damage Assessors to maintain efficient workflow.
- Complete repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
- Carry out final quality checks before vehicles move to the next repair stage.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for a skilled and motivated individual with previous accident repair experience. You should have:
- Previous experience as an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician within a Bodyshop or accident repair centre.
- Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and trim removal and refitting.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
