THE ROLE
As Service Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the aftersales department, ensuring the workshop and service reception operate efficiently while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and financial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the service department
- Leading, motivating and developing the Service Advisors, Workshop Controller and Vehicle Technicians
- Driving departmental profitability through effective labour sales, workshop efficiency and customer retention
- Monitoring and improving key performance indicators including labour sales, efficiency, utilisation and CSI
- Ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered throughout the entire aftersales journey
- Managing workshop loading to maximise productivity and minimise downtime
- Supporting recruitment, training and performance management within the department
- Maintaining manufacturer standards, warranty compliance and health & safety procedures
- Working closely with senior management to achieve departmental and business objectives

- Previous experience as a Service Manager within a franchised dealership or large automotive business
- A proven track record of leading successful aftersales departments and achieving departmental targets
- Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to drive profitability and customer satisfaction
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
