THE ROLE
As an MOT Tester & Vehicle Technician, you'll play a key role in the workshop, carrying out MOT testing while supporting the team with servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs when required. Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards
- Completing servicing, maintenance, and repair work when MOT demand is quieter
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Testing and repairing tyres, wheel alignment, brakes, suspension, batteries, and exhaust systems
- Carrying out complex repairs while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Accurately completing workshop documentation and MOT records
- Maintaining high levels of efficiency without compromising quality
- Ensuring excellent customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship
ABOUT YOU
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Valid Class 4 MOT Tester Licence
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous experience as an MOT Tester and Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
- Strong servicing, maintenance, diagnostic, and repair skills
- A flexible approach with the ability to support all areas of the workshop
- A positive attitude and excellent team-working skills
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)
