To provide a reliable, efficient and professional parts delivery service to our own workshops across the group, we are a commercial vehicle operator. The role will involve delivering automotive parts and equipment safely and on time, while providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all deliveries are accurate, secure and completed within agreed time frames.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday
Shift Hours: 2pm to 10pm
Salary: £27,378 per annum
Responsibilities Include:
- Complete daily delivery routes efficiently and within agreed schedules.
- Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring parts are protected from damage.
- Check delivery documentation and ensure the correct parts are delivered to the correct customer.
- Obtain delivery signatures and accurately record proof of delivery.
- Carry out vehicle safety and basic condition checks.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the delivery vehicle.
- Report any vehicle defects, delivery issues or damaged goods promptly.
- Liaise with the Parts Department and Workshop to ensure urgent deliveries are prioritised.
- Follow company procedures relating to health and safety, vehicle security and manual handling.
- Ensure all company vehicles, equipment and customer property are treated with care.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous driving or delivery experience.
- Good geographical knowledge of the local area.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily delivery schedule.
- Good attention to detail.
- Physically capable of loading and unloading automotive parts.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
