The Role

As an Experienced Bodyshop Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a busy accident repair centre, ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and exceptional repair quality. You will oversee workshop performance while developing and motivating your team to consistently achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operation of the bodyshop, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop Workshop Controllers, Vehicle Damage Assessors, Technicians, and support staff.
  • Monitor workshop performance, KPIs, productivity, and repair quality to achieve operational targets.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, insurers, manufacturers, and suppliers while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed in line with manufacturer repair methods, company procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety legislation and ensure a safe, professional working environment.
  • Oversee workflow planning, resource allocation, and vehicle throughput to maximise operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining profitability and outstanding customer satisfaction.

About You

We're looking for an experienced, commercially aware Bodyshop Manager with a proven background in leading successful accident repair centres. You'll be a confident leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering operational excellence.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Bodyshop Manager, Accident Repair Centre Manager, or Workshop Manager within an automotive bodyshop.
  • Strong knowledge of accident repair processes, manufacturer repair methods, and insurance repair procedures.
  • Experience managing workshop performance, productivity, quality standards, and KPI delivery.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational performance.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
