The Role

As an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician, you will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.

  • Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components
  • Diagnosing damaged parts and identifying repair requirements
  • Repairing and replacing mechanical and electrical components
  • Carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer repair methods
  • Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Completing quality inspections before vehicle handover
  • Maintaining accurate workshop documentation
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures

About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician, Vehicle MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Bodyshop Technician
  • A recognised qualification such as NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA, or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with an excellent understanding of modern vehicle repair techniques
  • Experience working within a busy Bodyshop or Accident Repair Centre
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A motivated, professional, and quality-focused approach
