The Role
As an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician, you will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.
- Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components
- Diagnosing damaged parts and identifying repair requirements
- Repairing and replacing mechanical and electrical components
- Carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer repair methods
- Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to maintain an efficient workflow
- Completing quality inspections before vehicle handover
- Maintaining accurate workshop documentation
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician, Vehicle MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Bodyshop Technician
- A recognised qualification such as NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA, or equivalent
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with an excellent understanding of modern vehicle repair techniques
- Experience working within a busy Bodyshop or Accident Repair Centre
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A motivated, professional, and quality-focused approach
