THE ROLE

As an Experienced Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for refinishing and painting accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer and industry-leading standards. You'll work as part of a skilled bodyshop team, ensuring every vehicle receives a high-quality finish while repairs are completed efficiently and within agreed production times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out paint spraying and refinishing of accident-damaged vehicles to a consistently high standard
  • Prepare vehicles and panels for paint, ensuring surfaces are correctly prepared before application
  • Mix and apply modern automotive paint systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Carry out colour matching, blending, polishing and finishing to achieve a factory-quality result
  • Inspect completed work and rectify any imperfections to ensure excellent repair quality
  • Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians, VDA/Estimators and Workshop Controllers to maintain efficient vehicle throughput
  • Maintain spray equipment, spray booths and working areas in a clean and safe condition
  • Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Paint Sprayer who takes pride in their craftsmanship and consistently delivers high-quality finishes within a busy accident repair environment.

  • Proven experience as a Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician or Paint Refinisher within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
  • Strong knowledge of modern automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques
  • Experience with colour matching, blending, polishing and finishing
  • Strong preparation and paint application skills
  • Ability to produce consistently high-quality, factory-standard finishes
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment
  • Good understanding of manufacturer repair methods and bodyshop quality standards
  • Reliable, professional and motivated approach to work
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Ideally IMI and/or ATA qualified (advantageous but not essential)
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
