THE ROLE

As an Experienced Multi-Skilled Panel Beater & MET Technician, you will carry out a combination of structural and cosmetic accident repairs alongside mechanical, electrical and trim removal and refitting. Working as part of an experienced bodyshop team, you'll be trusted to deliver high-quality repairs efficiently while using your broader technical skill set to help maximise vehicle throughput and maintain exceptional repair standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out panel repairs, replacement and alignment to accident-damaged vehicles
  • Undertake MET strip and refit, including mechanical, electrical and trim components
  • Carry out structural repairs and component replacement where required
  • Complete welding, metal finishing and panel preparation to a high standard
  • Identify additional damage and communicate findings to the relevant VDA/Estimator or Workshop Controller
  • Work closely with Panel, MET, Paint and Workshop teams to ensure efficient vehicle progression
  • Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
  • Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining exceptional workmanship

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for a highly experienced and versatile accident repair technician who can confidently work across both Panel Beating and MET disciplines and takes genuine pride in delivering high-quality repairs.

  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater and MET Technician within an automotive accident repair bodyshop
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and MET strip/refit procedures
  • Experienced in panel replacement, alignment, repair and metal finishing
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and trim knowledge
  • Confident working with modern vehicle construction and repair methods
  • Ability to work efficiently within a busy production environment without compromising quality
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to workmanship
  • Reliable, professional and conscientious approach
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
