THE ROLE
As a Bodyshop Polisher / Vehicle Polisher, you'll be responsible for the final finishing stages of vehicle repairs, ensuring paintwork and repaired areas achieve a smooth, polished, and high-quality finish before vehicles are returned to customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Polishing newly painted and repaired vehicle panels to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Removing paint imperfections such as runs, orange peel, dust, and minor defects.
- Carrying out machine polishing and finishing using appropriate equipment and compounds.
- Inspecting completed paintwork to identify areas requiring further correction or refinement.
- Working closely with Paint Sprayers and other Bodyshop technicians to ensure repairs are completed to the required standard.
- Carrying out final preparation and presentation checks before vehicle handover.
- Maintaining polishing equipment.
