Experienced HGV Technician - Permanent Night Shift
Are you an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic looking for a permanent night-shift role with the potential to earn up to £55,000 per year, depending on experience? We're recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle workshop, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across HGVs and trailers. This is a small night-shift team, so you'll need to be confident working independently, using your own technical experience to diagnose faults and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
The Role
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers.
- Routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Mechanical and electrical defect repairs.
- Fault finding and diagnostics.
- Using manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist tooling.
- Completing job cards, service sheets and online records accurately.
- Working to manufacturer, industry and health & safety standards.
- Taking ownership of your workload throughout the night shift.
About You
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar HGV role.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - essential.
- Strong HGV mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working on HGVs and trailers.
- Confidence working independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, professional approach and high standards of workmanship.
- HGV Licence - desirable.
