THE ROLE

As an Experienced Bodyshop Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the efficient and profitable day-to-day running of the bodyshop, ensuring vehicles are repaired to the highest standards while maintaining excellent levels of productivity, quality and customer satisfaction. You will lead and support the bodyshop team, manage workflow and production, and ensure the operation consistently meets agreed targets and manufacturer, insurer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the accident repair bodyshop and oversee vehicle throughput
  • Lead, motivate and develop the bodyshop team, ensuring high standards of performance and workmanship
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, repair times and quality to ensure targets are consistently achieved
  • Work closely with Estimators / VDAs, Workshop Controllers and Technicians to maintain efficient vehicle flow
  • Ensure repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer repair methods, health & safety and quality standards
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure any issues are dealt with professionally and efficiently
  • Manage resources, equipment and workshop capacity to maximise productivity and minimise delays
  • Maintain strong communication across the wider business while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced, commercially aware and people-focused Bodyshop Manager who can lead from the front and create a positive, high-performing working environment.

  • Proven experience managing an automotive accident repair bodyshop
  • Strong knowledge of Panel, MET and Paint repair processes
  • Previous experience leading, motivating and developing a team
  • Strong understanding of bodyshop production, workflow and vehicle repair processes
  • Experience monitoring KPIs, productivity, quality and operational performance
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Commercially aware with the ability to manage resources and control costs
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • High standards of workmanship with a strong focus on quality and compliance
  • Confident dealing with customers, insurers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • IMI / ATA qualifications advantageous
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
  • Professional, driven and hands-on management approach
