We are a family business based in Perth, Scotland and have just been awarded the prestigious Mercedes Benz truck franchise, so we are now looking for two HGV qualified techs to join the team. Excellent salary along with training and overtime.
We are seeking a dedicated HGV Technician for a full-time, on-site position in Perth. The position involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), conducting safety inspections, and ensuring all work complies with government regulations and company standards. The technician will also need to maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the team to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical skills, including diagnostics and the ability to perform repairs and maintenance on HGVs
- Detailed understanding of electrical systems, fault diagnosis, and repairs in vehicles
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance with regulatory guidelines for HGVs
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- Relevant experience in HGV maintenance is highly valued
- Full, valid UK Driving License, preferably with HGV certification
