The Role

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced supervisor for an exciting new opportunity based in the Midlands area, where you'd be field based supporting our operations across multiple sites when required. The successful candidate will join our established team and will be responsible for ensuring that business operations are running effectively and as expected by our customer, whilst meeting and supporting company objectives.

The supervisor in this role will provide first point of contact for customer requests, manage the performance of the direct reporting team to ensure industry leading levels of service delivery whilst ensuring excellent customer relations and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Safety
    • Perform Risk Assessments, elevate concerns
    • Monitor Manual Handling
    • COSHH awareness and control measures
    • Workplace Health and Safety Inspection Checks
  • Quality
    • Create and version control well‐defined work element sheets (Work Instructions)
    • Train the Deputy Supervisor & inspectors against work instructions using Boundary samples & defined work instructions
    • Conduct Standardised Work Confirmations
    • Complete the Autoscan Practical Problem‐Solving process where required (8D)
  • Delivery
    • Initiate new jobs (Containment & Engineering) via our internal work instruction authoring & Data reporting system (EOS)
    • Act as a single point of contact for quality technicians & engineers, agreeing reporting Method and frequency
    • Ensure all contaminant activity/jobs deliver the required customer objectives in terms of volume targets.
  • Cost
    • Manage the Direct Hour Distribution Confirmation via our internal reporting system
    • Monitor and adjust containment activities to maintain efficiency
    • Manage any non‐chargeable hours on your site.
  • Morale
    • Coach & Mentor direct reporting team leading by example
    • Manage the attendance and timekeeping of your direct reporting team via our internal reporting system
    • Go look see – Walk your area every shift

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an Automotive manufacturing environment or similar environment
  • Must have a Full UK driving licence.
  • Must be willing to travel to different customer sites.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge and experience of Excel
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role
