Position: Quality Technician
Location: Sunderland
Company: Autoscan UK Limited
Pay Rate: £14.50 Per Hour (PAYE)
Duration: Minimum 3 Months FTC
Autoscan provides Quality Inspection, Containment & Quality Engineering Services to the Automotive, Off Highway, and all types of manufacturing industries and their supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Perform first off / last off inspection confirmations and a basic level of auditing and part confirmation against internal QAIS standards, including visual assessment of parts, gloss/colour measurement, and simple vernier inspection measurements.
- Manage quality concern updates via the bespoke concern management system and update customer-specific systems to demonstrate concern status and progress.
- Lead the resolution of quality issues following supplier discussions, with robust problem resolution actions and closure of the issue to 8D.
- Represent the team in quality forums, from initial investigation to senior management and engineering follow up meetings, and feed back to the supplier network.
- Be comfortable in customer-facing roles and communicate effectively at all levels.
Qualifications
- Applications should have previous experience in a similar Quality role.
- Computer literate and experienced in the use of MRP type systems.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Willingness to undergo a basic DBS Criminal Record Check.
