Responsibilities
- Prepare plastic and fiberglass automotive bumpers for painting, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and smoothing surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Inspect, clean, and repair automotive bumpers; align with production standards to prep for painting.
- Prime and mask: apply primer coats evenly and mask off areas for a professional finish.
- Maintain quality control by inspecting work to meet standards and correct any imperfections.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow safety and hazardous waste protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Basic knowledge of automotive finishes and paint systems; proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in automotive body shops.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive bodywork, sanding, and surface preparation; experience with plastic and fiberglass repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with primers, fillers, and sealants; strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive body repair or painting is a plus.
Benefits
