About Us
Autoscan UK Ltd is a leading provider of quality assurance and inspection services to the automotive industry. With years of experience and a commitment to excellence, we partner with top automotive manufacturers to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. We are currently looking for an experienced Resident Quality Engineer to support one of our automotive clients and their customer base.
Responsibilities
- You will be the first point of contact and escalation for quality issues raised by associates of the customer on site.
- Upon notification of an issue, you will perform a preliminary investigation of suspect parts and work with the originator to understand the issue, agree and implement an immediate containment plan.
- Compile a detailed report of the issue and feedback findings to the supplier's manufacturing plant based in Italy.
- Drive the supplier plant to implement containment and corrective actions at source within their manufacturing plant.
- Communicate the status and outcome of actions to the customer quality teams for acceptance, monitoring and closure.
- Work with parts such as engine wiring harnesses, temperature sensors, connection cables, overmolded plugs and clock springs.
Qualifications
- Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and be familiar with problem solving and 8D methodology.
- Must possess valid right to work in the UK without restrictions and undergo a standard criminal record check (DBS).
