Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Control
    • Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill level and workload.
    • Monitor workshop activity to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
    • Ensure work is completed within agreed timeframes.
    • Control work in progress (WIP) to minimise delays.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure all work meets manufacturer and company standards.
    • Conduct final quality checks on completed jobs where required.
    • Ensure correct repair methods are followed.
  • Team Coordination
    • Act as the main link between Service Advisors and Technicians.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to workshop staff.
    • Manage technician time and attendance.
  • Workflow Management
    • Plan workshop capacity and schedule work accordingly.
    • Ensure parts required are ordered and available.
    • Monitor job progress and update Service Advisors.
  • Health & Safety
    • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
    • Maintain a safe and clean workshop environment.
  • Customer Service Support
    • Assist in resolving technical issues or customer concerns.
    • Support Service Advisors with technical explanations if needed.
  • Performance Monitoring
    • Track technician efficiency and productivity.
    • Support achievement of labour sales targets.
    • Identify training needs within the team.
