Key Responsibilities
- Operational Control
- Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill level and workload.
- Monitor workshop activity to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure work is completed within agreed timeframes.
- Control work in progress (WIP) to minimise delays.
- Quality Control
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer and company standards.
- Conduct final quality checks on completed jobs where required.
- Ensure correct repair methods are followed.
- Team Coordination
- Act as the main link between Service Advisors and Technicians.
- Provide technical support and guidance to workshop staff.
- Manage technician time and attendance.
- Workflow Management
- Plan workshop capacity and schedule work accordingly.
- Ensure parts required are ordered and available.
- Monitor job progress and update Service Advisors.
- Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean workshop environment.
- Customer Service Support
- Assist in resolving technical issues or customer concerns.
- Support Service Advisors with technical explanations if needed.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track technician efficiency and productivity.
- Support achievement of labour sales targets.
- Identify training needs within the team.
