Duties of a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic:
- Servicing
- Diagnostic work
- General maintenance and repairs
- Brakes checks and changes (pads and discs)
- Suspension work
- Road testing vehicles after repair
- Repairing and replacing wheel bearings, alternators, and head gaskets
- MOT Prep & Post MOT repairs
- Working on ramps 2 and 4 post / (1 x hunter 4 wheel laser system 4 post, 4x2 post ramps, 1x scissor lift, and 1 x 4 post MOT ramp)
- Tyre fitting A/C 1234yf and 134a
- Change tyres, complete puncture repairs, wheel alignment and balancing
- Repairing and replacing exhausts, steering racks, and water pumps
- Repairing and replacing radiators, clutches and gearboxes
- Timing Belts & Cambelt replacements
- Oil changes and part changes e.g. Filters
Vehicle Technician/Mechanic Requirements:
- Ideally have an NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI certifications required to Level 2/3 or be time served with 5+ years within the industry
- MUST hold a full valid driver license - No major driving convictions DD, DR, IN
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment
