Key Tasks Of A Panel Beater:
- Finishing the repair in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork or preparing the surface for a paint sprayer.
- Mending rusted parts of a vehicle’s bodywork.
- Replacement of panels.
- Panel Repairs (Straightening and filling)
- Body Alignment
- Welding ARC, MIG, TIG and bonding
- Panel Beating (Major or Minor damage repair)
- Jig Work
- Filler Work
- Pin pulling
- Removing any dents in panels.
- Repairing minor scratches or making replacement panels.
Requirements of a Panel Beater:
- ATA/NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Panel Beating or be time served with over 5 years of experience.
- Hold a current valid driving licence
- Previous experience within an accident repair centre essential.
