Duties of a Parts Advisor:
- Advising customers of the correct parts they require for their vehicle
- Taking orders over the phone or by email
- Checking availability of parts via system or physically in the warehouse
- Picking parts from the warehouse for technicians and customers
- Ordering parts via phone and online systems
- Supplying quotes
- Arranging deliveries to customers or workshops
- Dealing with payments
- Raising invoices and issuing receipts
- Managing parts returns of unwanted or incorrect stock
- Putting stock away and updating records
- Managing old unit returns
Requirements of a Parts Advisor:
- 3+ years of Automotive Parts Advisor experience within a bodyshop or main dealership environment
- Skilled in using Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Have an eye for detail to ensure stock levels are always at required levels
- Excellent customer service skills
