But then, you’ll rarely discover a business like Autoglym. Since 1965, we’ve been talking, listening and delivering to discerning and diverse customers in over 45 countries: continually evolving and shaping the finest range of automotive care products on the planet and taking them to market in the best possible way.

A New Chapter For Us - and You. The next chapter in our story has just begun, with your role at the very heart of it. You have the opportunity to grow your career with it!

We have an exciting, rarely available opportunity within our field based Technical Services Team for a Training & Support Specialist to join us. This role will be based in the East of England and Central areas of the UK (Postcodes included are PE, LN, DN, HU, YO, LS, HG). There will also be the requirement to travel across to the Midlands, Wales and our HQ in Hertfordshire on a regular basis. There will also be occasional travel to other areas of the UK, Ireland and Internationally.

So, what will you be doing?

  • Delivering face-to-face training and live demos of our world class Autoglym car care products – out in the field and at our HQ Academy in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire.
  • Installing and maintaining product dispensing systems at customer sites.
  • Providing expert technical support to customers, and sales teams.
  • Supporting sales and marketing initiatives with hands-on expertise and being a face of Autoglym.
  • Travelling across regions, attending shows and events, demonstrating products, chatting with customers and representing the brand.
  • Handling admin and compliance tasks with precision and professionalism.

Can you do it? Yes you can!

Previous experience in the automotive industry is not a requirement for this role, (we will provide you with all the training you’ll need), what is most important is having the confidence and personality to be able to communicate effectively in an engaging way. Whether that be during demonstrations, explaining in a teachable way how to get the best out of our products and or installing dispensing systems working with everyday tools. All of which will be assessed at final stage interview and working with the team you’ll join.

Previous experience training others or working in a customer-facing role.

Technically minded with basic tool skills.

Excellent communication – both written and verbal.

Self-motivated, organised, and flexible.

Fully UK licensed to drive a transit van.

Bring us those qualities and you can expect all the rewards and prospects you deserve – including:

  • The use of a company branded van and fuel card.
  • Single person Private Medical cover via our current provider BUPA.
  • Holiday entitlement starts at 25 days (pro rata); if you need a little extra... you can buy some more.
  • A defined contribution pension scheme available for all staff.
  • Hopefully never needed, but from day one you will be covered by our life assurance scheme.
  • Occupational Sick Pay and an onsite Occupational Health Service.
  • Confidential 24-hour life management and personal support service for you and your family.
  • Free eye tests are available for all employees.
  • A paid day off each year to take part in our volunteering scheme.
  • Don’t worry about getting parked...we have free car parking at all our sites.
  • We offer long service awards to all our employees.
  • Learning and Development - training and development support, no matter where you are in your career.
  • A variety of social events across the group, including the company Christmas party.
  • It might be a long way off but we know it’s not always easy to stop working so we provide advice and support to ease the transition to retirement.
