Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with check-in/checkout processes – provide excellent customer service and communication with pet owners
  • Follow individual feeding schedules and care instructions for each dog
  • Administer medications as directed
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness through frequent cleaning and disinfecting of rooms, outdoor runs, playrooms and outdoor yards
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, beds, toys and play equipment daily, laundry as needed
  • Complete multiple daily walks (approximately 1 km per walk) for several dogs
  • Monitor for signs of illness, injury, stress, or anxiety and report concerns promptly
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding dog behavior, health, and any incidents

Qualifications

  • Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, energy levels, and temperaments
  • Willing to get dirty (cleaning, accidents, shedding, mud etc. are part of the job)
  • Able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Confident setting boundaries and maintaining structure with dogs
  • Available weekends and evenings
