We are seeking a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join our caring team at our residential home in Highcliffe. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents during night hours, providing essential support when they need it.

You need a strong background in health and social care, along with experience of autism. Please note, Autism Unlimited does not provide visa sponsorship.

Our purpose in adult services is to empower the people we support to live as independently as possible and see them thrive. Each person we help has their own unique way of communicating, whether through PECs boards, Signalong, or repeating specific phrases. If you’ve not used Signalong previously, don’t worry — training is provided!

At the heart of everything we do is promoting independence and ensuring we have a relaxed, empathetic, and encouraging team to help achieve the individuals' goals.

Waking Night Support Worker responsibilities include:

  • Staying alert throughout the shift
  • Administering necessary medication
  • Completing documentation regularly during the shift
  • Following and adapting support plans to ensure residents feel comfortable and happy
  • Providing personal care, including hygiene prompts, assisting with bathing and washing, and medication support
  • Participating in our Employee Referral Scheme — earn £400 for each successful referral!
  • Completing a 12-week induction program with in-house training, e-learning, shadowing, coaching, and mentoring
  • Opportunity to earn an accredited qualification after passing probation
  • Access to the cycle-to-work scheme
  • Up to 33 days annual leave (pro-rata, including bank holidays)
