The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Our therapy model is made up of a multidisciplinary team including behaviour support practitioners, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and psychotherapists . Working with our therapy leader, this role will play a critical part in our student development working collaboratively to reach the best possible outcome for those we support at all times.

Duties would include:

  • Leading on the delivery of a comprehensive, innovative and evidence based behaviour support service that meets the needs of the students and adults, within a Positive Behaviour Model. Delivery will include the assessment of students along with planning, implementing and evaluating interventions.

  • Planning and development of the PBS service and provide line management to team members.

  • Working in close collaboration with classroom teams, as well as the other members of the Therapy team, in order to provide integrated behaviour support.

  • Promoting expertise and best practice through training, modelling and staff coaching.

  • Attending student reviews or other relevant meetings, to ensure a person centred approach in collaboration with the team around the student.

  • Participating in continuous professional development through self-directed learning.

  • Evidence of established specialist skillset in behaviour assessment and management.

  • Demonstrates leadership skills through use of appropriate management styles, ability to adapt communication and effective prioritisation and time management skills.

  • Able to work as an effective and co-operative team member and to collaborate successfully with colleagues and Head of Therapy.

  • Effective line management skills evidenced through the ability to coach, support and performance manage team members.

This vacancy is a full or part time position depending on the background and experience of the applicant to work all year round.
