Our Resilient Adult Services team is looking for a Female Support Worker to join our Waking Night team in Southbourne on a part-time basis. Due to the needs of the people we support, this role is open to female applicants only. We’re looking for someone with a strong background in health and social care, ideally with experience supporting people with autism or complex needs. ​Please note: Autism Unlimited does not provide visa sponsorship.​ The role: Our purpose in adult services is to empower the people we support to live as independently as possible and see them thrive. Each person we help has their own unique way of communicating, whether this be PECs boards, sign-a-long or through repeating specific phrases. If you’ve not used sign-a-long previously, don't worry as training is provided! ​​At the heart of everything we do is promoting the independence of the people we support, and ensuring we have a relaxed, empathetic and encouraging team working with us to help ensure they achieve their goals. ​ ​Hours of work: 30 hours per week – 10pm – 8am ​Why people choose to work for AU! ​ ​​​A Waking Night support workers job would include: * Staying alert throughout the shift * Administering any necessary medication * Completing documentation at regular periods throughout shift * Following the support plan in place for each person we support, to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour * Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication ​ Why join us?
