We are looking to appeal to either a Senior Support Worker looking for a new challenge or perhaps a manager that aspires for more. We are extremely proud to run a dedicated adult services programme where we specialise in supporting and empowering people living with autism. Everything we do is to ensure the best possible outcome to the incredible people we support and you could be a part of this. We are looking for a motivated natural leader to support our colleagues and people we support as a Deputy Manager in our including West region, including Dorchester, Weymouth & Crewkerne. A day in the life of a Deputy Manager would include: * Providing support, guidance and mentoring to staff within the service whether that be with supervisions, 1-2-1 or weekly team briefings * Onboarding new starters to ensure they understand the role and are equipped to deliver high quality support * Ensuring we have efficient rotas in place to suit the needs of the people we support * Maintaining care and support plans are consistent and up to date * Supporting the service leaders to operate on budget * Working with a clear understanding of CQC compliance * Providing on call support to colleagues on a rota basis * Making sure the services are well maintained / working with our health and safety and maintenance teams where appropriate Our ideal candidate would have: * NVQ level 3 in social care/management (preferred) * Autism qualification (preferred) * Reliability and commitment to delivering best practice * Excellent organisational, interpersonal and report writing skills * A readiness to work un-social hours on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in duties in line with service requirements * Experience with autism and behaviour that challenges Why join us? * Blue light card * Employee Referral Scheme – you can earn £400 for each person you successfully refer! * 12-week induction programme consisting of in-house training, e-learning, shadowing, coaching, and mentoring. * The opportunity to complete an accredited qualification once you’ve passed your probation period. * Cycle to work scheme * Up to 33 days annual leave pro-rata (including bank holidays) * Benefits portal which gives you access to money off your favourite shops, restaurants, and great days out, along with a cashback healthcare plan for general day-to-day healthcare such as optical and dental. * A 24 Hour Employee Assistance Programme that provides practical information and support on issues like money management, family and legal information. * We also have a network of Mental Health First Aiders to provide support you in the event you experience issues relating to your mental health.
