We are searching for a Deputy Manager to join the team working alongside our Registered Manager in Bournemouth, providing vital support to both our dedicated team and the people we support. We are extremely proud of our adult services programme, which specialises in supporting and empowering people living with autism. Everything we do is to ensure the best possible outcome to the incredible people we support and you could be a part of this.
Please note: Autism Unlimited does not provide visa sponsorship. To be considered for this role you must hold a Full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
A day in the life of a Deputy Manager includes:
- Providing support, guidance and mentoring to staff within the service whether that be with supervisions, 1-2-1 or weekly team briefings
- Onboarding new starters to ensure they understand the role and are equipped to deliver high quality support
- Working alongside colleagues on a two-week rotating rota, including weekends
- Ensuring we have efficient rotas in place to suit the needs of the people we support
- Maintaining care and support plans are consistent and up to date
- Ensuring the service operates to budget
- Setting objectives which are clear, aspirational and achievable for our colleagues and people we support
- Provide on call support to colleagues on a rota basis
Our ideal candidate would have:
- NVQ level 3 in social care/management (preferred)
- Autism qualification (preferred)
- Reliability and commitment to delivering best practice
- An understanding and previous experience with CQC
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and report writing skills
- A readiness to work un-social hours on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in duties in line with service requirements
- Experience with autism and behaviour that challenges
